  1. As a start - here is my quick contribution:

  3. dosnames - changes all names to dos compatible ones.
  4. doslistmake - generates the list with the aid of MTOOLS's mkmanifest
  5.  
  6. Three manual changes to the output of doslistnames are required:
  7.  changed pbmtoepson.? to pbmepson.? (name clash with pbmtoepsi.?)
  8.  changed make_pbm.com to make_shr.com (name clash)
  9.  
  10. One change to netpbm ist required:
  11.   pbm/bitreverse.h must be changed to pbm/bitrevers.h
  12.   (and all .c files including this too)
  13.  
  14. Another Idea: Why not change all names of the converters
  15.     OLD    NEW    Example    Changed

  17.     p?mto*.*    p?t*.*    pbmtoascii.c     pbtascii.c
  18.     *top?m.*    p?f*.*    tifftopnm.c    pnftiff.c
  19. This would allow for 5 significant characters instead of 3 !
